Urgent Issue! Can't check in as there are fees owing on your booking

Flying tomorrow with my girlfriend to Vancouver from Dublin. First leg is Dublin to Halifax, next leg is Halifax - Toronto and then onwards to Vancouver. I purchased two economy tickets months ago, but under two separate bookings. Flight departs tomorrow at 9am Irish time (GMT), so I was ready to select seats and check in at 8.30am. When I logged in to both bookings I saw that I could select seats, so I chose two beside eachother on all 3 flights. There was no fee showing to do this and I got the following message after selecting seats and confirming.

Success
Your new seat selection has been successfully updated and your reservation is confirmed. Changes complete. We've sent a copy of your itinerary to:

Your payment has been processed
Price details
Price summary
Difference 0.00 EUR

I was delighted. I then came back at 9am to complete both of our check ins, only to be met with the following message

"Check-in not completed
We could not complete your check-in at this time because there are fees owing on your booking. Please proceed to the airport and see an agent at check-in assistance"

I have been on hold for the last 90 minutes to Westjet trying to clear all this up. There is no way I should owe any fees... I tried to request a callback online, but it won't accept my Irish number. I've also tagged them in a tweet requesting that someone gets in touch with me ASAP.

Please help!
