I did manage to get more of the story - she said the lounge was completely out of food but they told her more was coming later (after her flight left. Not sure what went on down the back, business was catered, tho.

The flight left late, turned back 2 hours in bc of repairs to runway at AKL…waited on the ground in MEL another hour or so…then finally landed in AKL 5.30am or so. Had been due in just after midnight. Never seen a person more grateful for an upgrade!
