Thanks for all of the suggestions. One factor here is this is an 8 night trip. Would that change people's perspectives as to which area makes sense? We definitely like to spend some time outside of the resort - ideally being able to rent a car to go to some restaurants, walk around a town a bit, maybe some activities offsite.

We've been to none of these places, unfortunately.
