Fully agree. Pre-COVID, I flew the 788/789 jfk-Mex service a few times and it was great. And not sure about AM’s long haul product, but their JFK-MEX soft product was better than anything US carriers were providing on similar distanced flights…ie coursed meals, good booze, quality bedding. Heck, they even set up the self-serve galley bar on the quick JFK-MEX hop on the 789 and had full sized liquor bottles to boot! Suffice to say, I’m very confident the soft product on the AA JFK-MEX route will not be close to what AM provides (or used to provide) on this routing.
