Due to various cancellations, a situation has arisen whereby I will be landing at T5 around 8am, collecting my baggage (its not a connection) and then flying first around 17.00.

I have the option of going into central London, though of course that involves extra cost and normally, if I was going into London it would be for good food, which I don't really want to do before a long haul flight.

My questions

1. Any thoughts as to what you would do with that kind of timeframe available to you?
2. What is a sensible, not embarrassing time to check into First to use the facilities? I flew First a few years ago & I don't have unrealistic expectations about what is on offer.
