e-upgrade and bid upgrade at same time?
I'm waitlisted for a flight YVR-YUL and am waitlisted for business class, T-7 days, R=0, J=8.

I noticed that it looks like I can also do a bid upgrade as well, with an instant option.

Is there any advantage to do the bid upgrade, while still waitlisted with the e-up request and cancel the big upgrade if unsuccessful?
