Until very recently, you couldn't even get fed at all so it was invisible. But, pre-pandemic, in J you would get a pre-wrapped salad in place of the normal salad (which was normally GF anyway), with a vegetable oil dressing in place of an olive oil dressing (which was GF anyway). You would then get a plate with a large amount of a rather odd and tasteless flat white piece of protein. It was not tough enough to be chicken and too solid to be fish so I never figured out what it was meant to be. No sauce, but you would get some rice and veg- altogether no taste and very dry. There would be a solid GF dinner roll with margarine rather than butter. Dessert was fruit (a definite plus). Breakfast was fruit and a rock solid GF roll and, bizarrely, you were not allowed the regular yoghurt.

Having said all that, the economy meal was on a par with the regular economy meal (except for the GF roll and margarine) but the second meal was the same salad and fruit dish repeated but with nothing else.

I never travelled in PE before the pandemic so I don't know what they served then.
