Yes, indeed.
At ZRH often they have been fine with US and Canadian passport bearers using the EU/EEA+ line if they have Schengen country permanent residency cards to present. But I would suggest not gambling on that unless their is an airport worker directing such persons to go to the EU/EEA+ line.
ZRH exit passport control lines typically move quickly for me, but a few times I’ve had them take as long as 20-25 minutes before. But this was from before Q2 2020. Still nowadays, they are better and don’t have as bad extreme wait times as I have seen at other Schengen ports of entry/exit during this year.
