They're all completely separate.

A cash upgrade moves you to J now. You get the seat. It's not a matter of priority.

Bid upgrades are processed closer to departure, and they have said they take status and other factors into consideration, beyond just the bid amount.

eUpgrades are processed continuously. You might clear 11 months out, or 2 weeks out, or right when bid upgrades clear, or at the gate. But the timing of the clearance doesn't mean you were "prioritized" over (or under) a bid upgrade. It's just a separate process.
