Just to update all of the folks who offered suggestions, I went online this morning just to check if any availability came up for our flights and there they were, two seats on the same flight. I managed to get through to an agent, she grabbed those seats and we're all set. Of course, I was assured by the previous agent that they would monitor those flights and hold them for us if they became available and then let us know. I'll never believe any CP agent again and now we don't have any of our points with AsiaMiles.
