One of the guys, who I haven’t booked a flight for since pre Covid can’t get his boarding pass, which is annoying because we’re hand baggage only tomorrow at T3, and had wanted to go straight to security.
He got a new passport in 2020 and we think the one attached to his exec club account was his old passport when the booking was made. He’s since updated his account with his new passport details, but it still says his details don’t match and that he’ll have to get his boarding pass at the airport.
Has anyone had this before? If so has anyone managed to change it without having to go to a desk at the airport? I’m presuming once he presents himself and his new passport, his boarding pass will
be printed quickly and without hassle?
I’m gold, so I’ll take him as my guest to the first check in, is anyone able to confirm if there is a separate queue/area for Gold check in at T3 during the current chaos?
The passport details in his BAEC account would be added to the PNR at the time of creation. Updating the details in his BAEC account wouldn't update any PNRs that have already been created.
You should be able to update the passport details in the PNR via Manage My Booking and there should also be an opportunity to update them as part of the OLCI process. Once checked in, I'm not sure whether they can be updated, although if the old passport has expired I'm surprised it let him complete the OLCI process at all.
