Thanks for reporting back. So basically, you entered Turkey at DLM, flew to IST as on a domestic flight connecting to an int. flight out of IST? How was your bags tagged? I suppose you had to collect and re-checkin at DLM?
As a result of the routing I went with hand luggage only. I had to exit the terminal and go through a baggage scan. I already had a BP so went straight from there to a more thorough baggage scan to get airside. It was relatively efficient and I had a couple of hours before my DLM-IST flight.
