I recently flew from Europe to the US and was able to obtain a United award for Lufthansa business to Miami for 57,000 miles. Delta wanted 300,000. Going to Southeast Asia in February on American/JAL in business for 70,000 American miles each way. Delta wants about 5 times as many miles. Delta is not a reasonable option. In 2019, I was able to top off Thai account for first class using ANA to NRT and Thai to BKK, & BKK-KTM leg in business.
