Just an update on this…BA escalated to fares and ticketing who maintain the higher tax was correct and quote the same for other flights around those day despite the website saying otherwise……I cancelled with BA and the seat was immediately released back into QR reward inventory so I booked it though QR with just £164 tax and fees
