Does anyone know how wheelchair assistance works for my transit? Will I just be immediately wheeled to my next departure gate and left there for 9 hours? Will it be possible to keep the wheelchair with me for the entire duration so that I can move around a bit? I don't need anyone to be with me - I can wheel myself fine.
Not sure what class you are flying, but if in Business, they will wheel you (or transport you in the "buggy") to the lounge and then come pick you up when you need them. They have a special services counter in the lounge where you can request a wheelchair to come pick you up when you need it. You just need your boarding pass. Not sure if they will leave the wheelchair with you though, for you to wheel yourself around.
