If everything is on time, you should have about an hour to spend with your friend.
When you arrive, follow the signs for baggage claim exit. Have your friend meet you past the exit from baggage claim.

You will then need to re-clear security. On the way to E gates, you'll clear passport control, then take the train to E gates, then go upstairs for another quick security check before boarding the plane. I agree with the above poster - give yourself at least 60 minutes to go through the process.
