I am planning to travel to Rome in April 2023. When should I book an award ticket on American Airlines to get a good deal?

I looked at the flights and AA points needed. Today the miles needed was 87,000 for a round trip in the main cabin. In the past I have booked a first class cabin for 80,000 miles.

if I wait to book after 3 months, would I get a ticket for less miles?
