SWU- A worthless Perq of Status?
I've been an EXP for many years. First the SWUs were reduced from 8/year to 4/year. Now, with the new loyalty points program, the ability to even earn them is reduced. The final part is that even if we have SWUs, they are not able to be used.
I booked a ticket in February 2022, for a departure in October, and there is still no availability to upgrade. The agent confirmed that there are restrictions on SWUs, in the hope of passengers spending to upgrade.
At this point, don't count on any value from SWUs.
