Nothing tastes better for many when you say the food is free.Even bad food may taste better to some.
That said I’m a fan of any good quality hotel breakfast covered complimentary after spending thousands of nights to earn my loyalty/elite status
I spend pretty freely on either lunch or dinner perhaps both when traveling globally
Did I say I like the sound of screaming into the wind? 😜
