Hi Everyone,

I am going to be flying from Germany to ZRH to the US, and I will have a 3.5 hour layover in ZRH.

I would like to exit the secured area of the airport to meet a friend in the unsecured area, then re-clear security (and presumably exit border patrol?). I am trying to figure out how much time this will take to make sure that I don't miss my connection.

Am I correct in assuming that there will be no border patrol at ZRH on my way in as I am coming from within Schengen? How long before the flight should I go back through security to make sure that I make my connection?
