Just got back from two nights at Mission Pacific. Had the Hyatt Place in Vista/Carlsbad reserved for 8000 per night for a trip to Legoland for our 4 year old. Saw 4 days before our trip the bohemian suite became available, plus the promo for 20% points rebate at JDV, so changed our plans and got this for 16,000pts/night and called concierge to upgrade. She offered the Bohemian suite first without me even requesting it.

Valet parking was painless, but for sure if I was paying a cash rate, I would park across the street for $5. Since we were in a hurry to get ready and out the door for Legoland each day I called in a takeout order to Piper. The second day they told me I should be ordering room service, and I just let them know we were in a hurry. Food was fine, but not amazing. Coffee was great though, as was the illy in-room system. All charges were covered -- we were told up to $160. Tried to keep it closer to $120 since it was 3 of us, but did go over $120 a bit the second day. The dining table was great for eating in at. We brought back takeout tacos from Craft Coast down the street, which were amazing.

The only negatives (which may be a positive for some): We wanted to do some relaxing at the pool before dinner but were told to go over to the child chaos at Seabird because it was 5:15 and the pool at MP is 21+ after 5pm. The branded water bottles were "in shipment" so we were told to just drink the regular water bottles in the minibar. The fill station is not a short walk, but the water from it is great.
