Thank you for your notes. I ended up getting a suite at Cala di volpe for next week for 7 nights and they upgraded me from half-board rate to full-board rate. I was also able to burn a ton of miles to get good flights on LH there and AF back in C/F, respectively with only one stop in each direction. NB - I did check the website of a certain resort outside of Siena but it looks to be quite full this summer!

In terms of compensation, I asked for them to honor my rate for a stay next summer and a complimentary 1-category upgrade (which is not massive at Amanzoe in terms of rate). They have agreed to the first request but only if I book the dates now and the terms of deposits are still being worked out through my TA.

The Aman team did say they would facilitate a change to Ruya, Venice or Amanjena. We went to Amanruya last summer so no real desire to go back and with a 2-year old in tow the beach is really sub-optimal. We loved Bodrum, but when we go back would probably stay at Mandarin just for more sand. We have no desire to go to Venice in the summer and we were at Amanjena 18 months ago and similarly do not want to be in Marrakech in July
