Travel Insurance Coverage For COVID

I hope this is the right area. If not, please move.
I'm posting this just because I'm curious. I just came back from a 2-week trip to Europe (Spain). While I was there, I caught COVID, though I did not know it, since all I had was a runny nose.
I had flown there on Iberia, business class, using miles. I had travel insurance. I was careful and masked the whole trip, and was not close to anyone during the trip (except my wife, who remains negative).
Not knowing I had COVID, I flew home with no problems. After I got home, I tested positive a day later.
My question is: Had I known I had COVID while in Europe, I would have had to miss my flight home. Given that it was exclusively on miles with Iberia, had I missed that flight, I likely would not have been able to find another flight later on miles to get home, and certainly not one in Iberia business class. So, normally, would Iberia have been likely to open up space for me on a later flight, given the circumstances? If not, would travel insurance have covered anything for the new flight home, given that I did not pay anything in cash for the original flight? If there would not have been any reimbursement, in the future, what kind of protection would I get to make sure I was covered for this type of thing?
Just curious, just a hypothetical.

And, yes, I am feeling a little guilty for not checking to see whether the runny nose was anything other than a cold before I flew, but that's water under the bridge. As of now, a week later, it's still just a runny nose. No sore throat, headaches, other symptoms, and maybe a light cough once or twice in a day. I'm still masking and isolating from my wife at home, and still testing lightly positive, though it is likely to be over in a day or two.
