I called Etihad Guest today (15 minute waiting time) to book RAM JFK-CMN business class. There is wide open availability of award space for next year on both AA and AsiaMiles, but Etihad agents are not able to see the award space. They talk about different code sharing agreement. This route is a great redemption value for points if it ever works.
It was so easy to do it before, aa availability and Etihad would have it, but now it's just impossible to find any on Etihad for any dates, that's why I switched to using AA miles for the jfk CMN route unfortunately. Disappointing to have Etihad miles that you can really redeem for good value
