I have to buy connecting flights and I’m concerned about connection times under current circumstances at LHR.

On a Friday morning Virgin Atlantic arrives at T3 at 10 AM. BA flight departs T5 at 13:30. Business class both flights. Carry on luggage only. But also 2 separate tickets…2 separate airlines.

I haven’t been to lhr in 3 years and I cannot remember what procedures we would have to go through for BA check-in, passport control, security, changing terminals. “Fast track” isn’t always so fast.

Dare I plan that 3 1/2 hours will be sufficient or should I stretch it out to 6 hours to be safe?

Even though this is for 6 months from now and we don’t know what 6 months might bring I’m trying to plan ahead.
