Should Admirals Clubs Remain Open Until the Last Flight Departs?
This is something that bugs me about the AC and, more than anything else, makes me question the value of membership.
1. Should ACs be scheduled to close (as in their regularly posted hours), before the final AA flight leaves from that airport?
2. In the event of irregular ops, should ACs close on schedule or should they remain open if AC members or other eligible pax are on the affected flights?
I feel pretty strongly that the answer to #1 should be "no." ACs are marketed first and foremost as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the terminal. To that end, when an AC is not open at the time a flight departs (or boards), it deprives members of the primary benefit of membership.
As for #2, I feel they should remain open until the last fligth departs for the same reason as espoused in #1. That said, I can understand that overtime issues come into play, but I still think they should remain open (or at least one in a station with multiple ACs).
What do you think?
