I just got off the phone with the travel agency (talking with a different agent everytime I called) and this lady gave me insights to why I did not get alternative flight/seats for the DOH-KL, the MAS (ticketing airline) limited the travel agency for alternative fights for DOH-KUL and in their notification to the agency the "refund" option is the only option for the agency in this case they redirect me to agency as a customer.
My assumption is that the airline refuse to issue me a ticket/alternative because
1. I was probably an easy target passenger to cut loss because it was a cancelled flight
2. I booked under a travel agebcy
3. To rebooked me an alternative flight cost them extra $$ vs. the $ we bought via travel agency.
Do I still hold any rights here?Would this information help me at the airport? I recorded the phone call as evidence as I thought I could still stand a chance to get back my missing/connecting flight.
