Not that it
should make any difference this isn’t ‘airline’ hiring issue, but a contractor hiring issue. All of UA check in staff in Canada are outsourced, and so are likely paid even less/given less benefits than UA itself would. Not sure if it’s the same company as contracts at YYZ, where up until the pandemic I flew frequently out of, but not since, and they were horrible. Think it’s ATS.
Incidentally, I’ll be connecting off AC international onto a UA flight tomorrow at YVR, so we’ll see how that goes. A bit concerned as arriving from NRT, and that AC flight is constantly delayed - first out of YVR and then on the return. So here’s hoping…
