If there was a robust LAX-SAN OD market, I'd bet that we'd have seen WN, the king of the intra-California OD market, participate in it.
Here are carrier airport share numbers directly from LAX to 2012 except 2013 has a page error. Outside of one year where United was #1, the carrier has largely stayed flat while AA absorbed US Airways' share and Delta has definitely taken a strong #2 spot and is currently battling with AA for top dog at LAX in 2022.
