I’m sure the average 12 year old of my generation was given a lot longer leash without the sort of insane worrying and helicopter parenting that goes on now.

But on the other hand, todays 12 year olds have smartphones and electronic money. Probably a wash.

Of course this is AA’s fault. But what moron would ever rely 100% on a large bureaucratic organization like an airline without some sort of backup plan?
