I thought the two week grace period was suspended while the reduced TP thresholds are in place. Ie its either/or and not both

But given that OP is in this situation because BA cancelled the flight while taxiing I think I would call BAEC and see if they can be lenient.

i assume the TP year end date is 8July which leaves very little scope to get anything else booked.
