The reason I ask is that I'm booking a SYD trip for a couple of weeks from now, and I'd rather do LAX-SYD instead of SFO-SYD. The LAX flight is on the 789 and sold with Polaris/PP but I noticed even just over the past week it's subbed to one of the non-retrofitted 789s 4 times. I'm not sure if that's a fluke or what (I don't pay for a service that gives me historical tail numbers further back), but if the LAX flight is especially likely to be subbed I would absolutely switch to SFO for the guaranteed Polaris on the 773 instead.
Thanks for any insights!
LAX-SYD earns more BIS miles.
