BA holiday ex-EU (Oslo) - first leg cancelled - advice please

Hi, looking for some advice on how to handle a flight cancellation that was just notified. Basically booked a family holiday to Miami, the first leg is supposed to depart Oslo on 19 July (07.05) for a connecting flight at LHR (13.30). The Oslo to LHR has been cancelled so I am wondering what the chances are of starting from LHR without being hit for additional fees/taxes given it's BA that are cancelling the flight? I have a reward flight booked for LHR-OSL on 18 July which wouldn't be needed if BA agree, otherwise they will be looking to re-route and potential alter the hotel booking and return flight if we arrive a day later, or whatever?

Grateful for any advice/tips of what to say when I get through to them, any regulations I can quote at them that would help? Also, I think I have to call their Bremen number as it is ex-EU, as I had to do that when the return MIA-LHR on 9 August was cancelled.

It's a 22 day holiday, four of us in total all in WT+, I have Gold status.
