Stayed for one night last week, Diamond, paid via a negotiated rate by the vendor I was visiting. The vendor made the reservation, so the property did not know re: status until I checked in and changed to my credit card. Check-in was easy, $15 F&B credit explained as well as the resort fee features (although my rate was inclusive of the resort fee as well as parking).
My room was towards the streetside of the property and I could barely see the ocean. I called and asked for a room with a better view. I was moved to the approximate center of the building. Bellhop brought my keys to me. View slightly better. The only rooms with a good view are those with real balconies on the oceanside.
While the room was clean, the hardware needs a refresh. (But I always expect that the wear and tear on a beach hotel is tremendous.)
My colleagues walked (10 minutes) to an area with several restaurants, but I had to finish a class, so I ate at the outdoor bar. Beer was cold and the Ceasar salad with tuna was quite good (the bartender assured me that the tuna was fresh - not frozen). The $15 F&B did not go too far, however. Can't comment on breakfast, although it looked as if there was free coffee in the lobby.
A couple of other comments. I see comments about parking, and my rate included it, but the lot was secured at all times. The beach seems to be quite wide in front of the property. And the resort fee includes chair and umbrella rental - something of use at least. I liked the wristband-style room key.
Not unique to this Hilton property, but the front desks seem to always be frustrated in two cases. One being the credit card I want to use for the stay is not the credit card on file in my profile. There are a bunch of steps that have to occur to change credit cards. I am not allowed to store my employer's credit card in profiles. And when any incidental charges need to be charged to a different credit card, in my case the balance due after the F&B credit. Again, a bunch of steps and the front desk agents kind of make it known that there are 'extra' steps involved - not unfriendly, but I can tell by commentary.
