Pleased to report that SEA check-in staff checked me through on separate tickets (QR-QR) without a fuss. The agent had to get her manager to “link” the itineraries which took a few minutes, but they were very obliging.
Did the agent try to link it herself first, or did she go straight to the manager? The agent at JFK gave it a shot herself and when she couldn't do it, she had me go to the other end of the check in counters, had a short wait in line, before the manager did the linking.
