I guess this is becoming a pattern. Just had this happen at St Regis Atlanta. Sna confirmed via email 5 days prior. At check in they claim they have no record of it and no suites. Manager didn’t even bother coming out to talk. No recovery. Was advised to contact Marriott to recoup SNA.
There is no downside to doing this, there should be something like a 50% room rate reduction when this happens - since they have basically done a bait and switch to get the booking. Marriott Inventory not updated is just a cop out or a straight lie.
