If you’re on a single ticket, great.
If not, which would not be unexpected since LH and LP are not partners, having two hours between two separate tickets would be ill-advised. I wouldn’t trust what an airline customer service agent tells me.
Do all flights show up on the LH site?
Do all flights show up on the LP site?
Do you have one or two ticket numbers for your LHR-LIM trip?
BA and AA are partners and are part of a transatlantic joint venture. LH and LP certainly aren’t. You can’t buy a LHR-LIM itinerary with LH and LP flights on either LH’s or LP’s websites, nor can you buy any other itinerary with LH and LP flights on either website, so it is reasonable to assume that the trip consists of two separate itineraries.

MIA and DFW are set up for ITI as mentioned above where you *dont* reclaim your bags if connecting onto another international flight.

Considering the person is flying via MIA I don’t think it matters what most other airlines do.

Routing is available on LH website.
