Yes the cancellation payment would be paid even if you didn't travel. However I'm a bit wary of the rebook next day option. It's certainly allowed in this circumstance, in fact you could stay a lot longer, but at a certain point it is going to look like a rebooking with little to do with the original cancellation. Next day should be OK though.
Thank you so much. And what problems do you mean by the fact that it would look like a rebooking? That I may pay the fare difference or some fees?
I just got of the line with BA customer help and I have new flights. I was moved to the next day because there were no flights available for the LHR - PRG leg if I wanted to keep the original MIA-LHR leg so the first possible reschedule was to move us +1 day.
Does this mean I should be eligible to the full 600€/person refund? Based on the previous discussion.
I hope I did not wave any rights to compensation when agreed to rebooking.
Also do you think it is even worth to call/write to BA if there is a chance to moce us to J class on the MIA-LHR leg as a compensation for this inconvinience?
