If you don't intend to travel then using the transits to C and back is an entirely legitimate way to handle things.
If you are intended to re-enter then there are hourly exits via gate A17, on the hour. If there is turmoil then the exit process is permanently allowed via A17. This means your boarding pass is correctly re-aligned for your future travel. Note that the breakfast arrangements in the Arrivals lounge aren't a long way different from CCR, if you don't want alcohol.
I'd suggest the CCR is a nicer space, and surely even GGLs don't get access to the Arrivals Lounge unless they have arrived transatlantically? (If I'm wrong about this, it would be quite interesting for the early flights from ZRH assuming they are ever bookable again ...)
