Title and gender do not match. Please try again.

I read about the doctor who encountered this message, but not I got trying to check in my wife, who is not a doctor. The interface does not even sow a gender drop-down, so that is from when the reservation was made. I cannot check in until this is resolved. Does anyone have advice on a work-around?
