Flown twice recently out of the first wing at LHR T5. First time I had to wait 2 minutes until a desk was free, second time there was no wait. No wait at security, straight into the lounge. The lounge did seem busier than usual. Luggage was fine and arrived with all the other luggage.
Remember you mainly hear horror stories. No one starts a thread to say the service was good and nothing went wrong.
