As with my recent JAX adventure, arrived at airport well in advance of flight and not expecting a VDB scenario. This was a little different than JAX, T-20, GA request for volunteers starting at $500. Joined the line as no additional meetings this week - in the space of being #2 and subsequent processing, offer skyockets to $900. Apparently, 2707 is a payload optimized flight (lucky me), all in all VDBd 38 customers , including GA getting about 10 that were already seated on the plane.

DL506 LGA >ATL
$400/Next Departure
Was confirmed on this flight at 7A - surmised there may be an opportunity on this one. Was #1 in line and was taken (only needed 3) . Confirmed on the 8:30A and that's where the streak ended.

All in all, not bad for ~ 12 hours: $2,100 - again, minor complaint is the time it takes to process VDB - lots of keystrokes and calls tor Revenue Management/Customer Experience for rebooking (the sending of the links for the gift card, hotels, transportation).

Not the $10,000 windfall mentioned in another thread...but I'll take it. Figured I was on a roll, so I played Powerball and MegaMillions...no joy on PB, but as with the New York Lottery slogan - "you never know" on the MM.

Lastly, that Terminal C is beautiful, just be prepared to walk - a lot. I'll save my comments for the cluster that is getting to rental cars, only saying that there is now only one place to catch that bus (at the Transportation Center closer to Terminal B).
Damn! I missed it by one day.. I was on LGA-ATL 6/29 the 9:30AM. When I checked in online Tuesday evening Delta.com was already asking volunteers so I put my name on the list. The next morning the A320 had bee switched to an A321 so they resolved the oversold that way. The flight went out 100% full with 30+ on the standby list.
Also on the flight were 3 or 4 uniformed pilots flying on positive space.
