Not based in Dallas, but I was in town from last Friday - yesterday as I hadn't visited since last December and was getting a hankering for Las Palmas in Uptown :-)

As for the pool, it's small - I could actually see it rather well from my suite - located on an outdoor deck on the 3rd floor. Depending on the sun, you could probably cook some burgers with the heat that reflects down from the glass building. Despite that, I saw a few folks out there sunbathing and a few people swimming.
