BA482 (LHR-BCN) delay on 28th June

Hi,

I flew LHR-BCN yesterday (28/6) on BA482 that had initially 2 hours delay before boarding but we ended up being more than 3 hours delayed arriving at BCN at 1/49am this morning.
The crew was fantastic bringing us there and the captain kept us constantly informed telling us it was a ‘mix of unfortunate events including aircrafts being all over the place and delayed air traffic control).

I am trying to understand the real reason (to potentially apply for EC261 compensation) and maybe someone can help.
The flight was operated by G-EUYR.
However I am pretty sure that it was meant to be operated by another aircraft – at least when I was looking at the aircraft type on flightradar yesterday morning. I am not 10%% sure but I think it was G-EUYY that was meant to operate the flight.

Maybe someone has more information?

Thank you
