Good deed punished by UA
I was on an UEX E145 aircraft and did a three-way switch so that a grand mom could sit next to her grand kid. I was in 6C, grand kid in 5C and grand mom in 7C. I first switched with her; then a guy on 5A switched with grand mom. This guy ran a bill on me, just a few dollars, though. When the FA served me with a can of beer, I showed my BP (1K complimentary drink). Apparently, she did not realize this mistake. I received a receipt for the charge that I should not be responsible for. Won’t switch seats from this point on anymore.
