I read on emirates website that a lighter is allowed to be carried only on one's person and not in the checked or carry on luggage.
My lighter is basically just a prop at this point but I wanted to ask if anyone has carried a lighter on an emirates flight and if so, do they give you any problems for carrying it in your person? If anyone has carried a lighter on an emirates flight successfully, could you please tell me if you carried it on your person or in the luggage? Thank you for your help.
I have carried a standard gas lighter (BIC liquified gas) a few times. No issues. But you must carry it on your person (eg your pockets) and place it in the tray at security screening.
Absolutely no petrol (Zippo type) or those torch gas lighters allowed.
