I’ve heard mixed messaging, but most recently the Executive Liaison folks said the focus is on AA-flown premium cabins vs. JV flights (even if a codeshare). Since revenue is split among the JV participants, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but so be it.
Beyond scheduling aspects where AA is lacking flights or good times, when the cost is generally the same, definitely more inclined to fly BA via codeshare:
