If they’re already on the holiday then the duty office can be contacted on their 24hr helpline. That’s +44 208 707 4463 and when I needed to call it was answered very quickly.
When calling last week and selecting the options that you are already on holiday just gave a voice message to email duty office mailbox with no way to actually speak to someone
