Personally with an early on the day TATL i would fly down to LHR the night before and stay in a hotel. Even though your plans aren't final I'd look to book a refundable rate room to lock a 'reasonable' price in..

I have gone ahead and chosen to change the booking so now I fly EDI-LHR at around 8:55pm, and then fly the next morning on the 9:40am LHR-SEA, with both on the same booking and ticket I would presume I checked the last few of the 20:55 flight and it’s been a mixed bag also with some departing Edinburgh 1hr or so late… wonderful!
my question now is… will my checked in luggage be checked through to the morning flight or will it need me to
collect in LHR and recheck in morning. It will be locked witj
my TSA lock and I presume it’s ok that way it checked
overnight for the flight out to Seattle.
