Greetings IB flyers,
I was able to book 4 business award seats for LAX-MAD using IB Avios 10 months ago. However, when I check my IB account, the flight is not found. However, I can pull it up using the record locator.
It says Holding Confirmed; I'm not familiar with the terminology, but is that the same as CONFIRMED/TICKETED. Tried reaching out to IB but long hold time and non-responsive Twitter has led me to turn to the collective knowledge here.
I ask because the flight inventory has been zeroed out, and we can't even get seat assignments for our party; there is only 1 remaining seat open.
I'm getting a bit nervous as they only fly 3 days a week, and I don't know what kind of accommodation IB will provide should we get bumped (as we aren't revenue pax).
Any thoughts/experience/insight appreciated.
